Che

1939 - this was built

1952 - 2 men went on a journey now known as the "Motorcycle Diaries".
In later years, the younger man will be known to most as Che Guevara.

This day in 1967 - Che was killed.

This day 2007 - Ernesto Guevara rode a bike to attend the 40th death annivesary of his dad.

RIP, Che.... 45 years on.

Ciao, Sic !

I remember the crazy year 2008...

Valentino Rossi regained his MotoGP World Championship title after 2 years of losing to an undeserved Nicky Hayden in 2006 and a promising Casey Stoner in 2007.

On the other hand... a younger, crazier, taller Italian rider with bigger hair than Vale terrorised the 250cc field, tormenting the likes of Hector Barbera and Alvero Bautista on the way to winning the 250cc title....

Off the track... the interviews were funny... and he had no chance of putting on any sponsor's cap with that hair.

Turned out this kid, like Vale, was from within 20 miles radius of San Marino... a town called Cattolica....

Marco "Sic" Simoncelli - Super Sic.
Vale's self proclaimed "youngest brother".
I wasn't the only one to think that we were looking at "the new Vale".

Ciao, Sic... grazie mille for all the great entertainment.
May your soul Ride in Peace.

this is how you should be remembered...
